maybe it's an OCD thing...

...this is just my perspective on the situation...
in my experience people only change in pretty much 2 circumstances
1: huge sudden shock
2: slowly over time
therapies would be trying to get him to change over time, ever tried just putting in dead lightbulbs and force him to confront his fears so you can get to the root of the problem?
then again im just graduating highschool so I could be wrong

...I have a hard time sleeping in total darkness.
I also have this irrational fear of zombies, and somehow the comfort of a light makes me feel better. Don't ask me why. I have a 2 year old, too though. So having nightlights is completely acceptable.
Here is a simple solution if this is the ONLY thing wrong with your marriage:
Buy a sleeping mask. For 10 mere dollars, you will have the ability to sleep in complete darkness if that is your wish, while he can leave the house lit up like a damn Christmas tree.
And I promise sexing with the light on isn't a big deal, either.
Most men are totally visual creatures, and it probably gets his rocks off to be able to scope out every inch of you while he nails you. Appreciate that he likes looking at your body. If it bugs you that the light is on,
well, the sleeping mask comes in handy.
Give me something I can take,
Can take to make the memories fade.
Poison kiss, remember this,
I never was meant for this day.
Maybe you're soooo ridiculously sexy that he can't stand being unable to look at you. Did you consider that?
its just a habit, my boyfriend has the same habit, and i have to try other things to get this off~~ you can talk to him to help him make a solution though.
