I think about 2% of guys out there would wear a suit on a date anyway

I wouldn't like anything too elegant, and I don't care about what's "fashionable" as long as one looks good and comfortable in it. I don't like that Armani sweater, it looks like someone who's wearing it just wants to show off.
OP, as you see it depends on the woman you're going to date !

That's the point - he could have bought the same sweater in a street market somewhere, instead he payed $120 just to have the Armani label... that's basically the main reason I don't like designer clothing. Plus, I don't really like the sweater anyway... in the end it's just a matter of personal taste .
Searock and smackie, please don't try to dress your men. Period, the end.
...as ancient astronaut theorists would suggest
I like the way my man dresses, so I see no reason to
Sometimes a hat is all that is needed

Just wear where you feel comfortable.
We'll ignore the fact that youre slumming it with some 40 yr old and concentrate on the threads and getting you your hole.
Blue jeans, white shirt, leather fonz jacket, black addidas samba trainers, 2 big mac meals(regular), cheap hotel, cheap bottle of wine and some low grade weed. If you dont get your hole with this advice, you are either ugly, or your date is frigid.
Your welcome.
