Heheheh. I loved Married with Children. You'll note, though, that Al had a soft spot. In the end, he loved his family. He wouldn't even cheat when the opportunity came by.

A variety of reasons. Relationships have changed. Maybe he has an idea of what kind of a relationship with a woman would be palatable to him and anything other than than would not be to his choosing. I appreciate that. I would like a more traditional relationship with an intellectually stimulating spouse. I'm not going to "make" a woman into that type of person--either I meet her or I don't. Being alone is acceptable to me because I can take care of myself entirely and have made a nice home for myself (right down to the starched and ironed pillowcases). Taking on a spouse who would scoff at my approach to life or fight me into changing my basic values is not worth it. Maybe your friend has the same view.

OV what makes you think that all marriages are like that? Because I know a couple of marriages that are totally different that the "marriage" in that show. Plus that show is way out dated when it comes to social issues anyway.

    How old are you?
To answer your question. I am 32. Neither does he want marriage nor any kind of relationship. He wants to be my friend.

Not even sex? Maybe he is impotent. I'd forget about him if I were you. Don't waste your time.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Why is it if a guy doesn't want sex he must be impotent? And why is it a waste of time to have a friendship with a man?

It seems that he pretty much wants to keep the friendship with me.

Well, I for one think that's a good thing. Assuming you aren't head over heels for this guy, of course.

Sounds to me he likes you enough to put aside lust and physical attraction for the sake of preserving a platonic relationship.

Perhaps he simply isn't lonely... Loneliness is inner turmoil, while Solitude is inner peace. Not sure where I read that.. and I may have posted it before.. lol
