You know what's fantastically hilarious? Half that UFO nonsense came about because the US government wanted to cover up research during the Cold War. And it was brilliant.

A couple of hicks saw a silver object in the sky. It eventually crashed. The government swooped in, collected the debris and took it away, denying everything and leading people to draw every conclusion but the real one.

The Roswell crash really was just a balloon. Not a weather balloon as the government claimed, but an experimental spy balloon designed to float high in the atmosphere where strong winds would yank it back and forth erratically. A camera was suspended beneath it for recon.

Ahh yeah the Roswell incident. I am very skeptical about UFO stories, too.

I do believe there is extra terrestrial life, though; I believe the universe is filled with galaxies that contain planets like earth, full of life.

I am pretty sure that was photo-edited; it doesn't appear as the the 'ghost' is rushing towards the glass, but instead fades in and fades away. Plus I think the glass is too opaque for the colors of the apparition to be so saturated.

You sound as ridiculous as the UFO supporters with no actual background or proof. Just reading various stories in the internet and just claiming this was that and that was that like there were some hard evidence.

I don't want to turn you around or anything, and at this point I don't claim to be a believer of anything. It just the attitude that annoys me.

Here's my take.

I think 90-95% of all UFO cases are either a hoax or a case of misidentification... someone see's a plane, flares, Venus, 'swamp gas', their own mind plays tricks on them, etc.

But it's that 5-10% of all cases that are truly unexplainable that really intrigues me. Same can be said about ghosts, bigfoots, etc.

I think it plays to man's arrogance that so many people assume that just because WE can't fathom intergalactic or interdimensional travel that it just doesn't exist. I believe the universe is so huge and so mysterious that who knows what could be out there...?

I first read about it in a far more credible source than a wiki page, but I'm not going to bother tracking that down. If you're interested do your own looking. The professor in charge of that project admitted to having launched the very balloon that was recovered. If you want to believe that's a government cover up go right ahead.

I think it would be incredibly arrogant to assume that there is no other life in the universe, even intelligent life. However, I don't believe that life has reached Earth. I'd love to think so, but the universe is so vastly enormous it's beyond comprehension. Even traveling at the speed of light wouldn't be fast enough to get anywhere.

Like you say, Tone, who knows? Maybe there's other means of hopping from galaxy to galaxy. At this juncture I don't see any reason to believe so, and so I don't really pay much attention to the idea that aliens have visited Earth.
