i would consider the bow more fashionable but if it interferes with the flowers and the look for the photos it may not work, it's hard to tell tho

Mbe the belt is removable? In which case, its a non-issue. Wear it for the party, or whatever.

I like it, strapless ones look really good and the belt makes it stand out from any other dress. People might judge this differently, but doesn't the colour of the belt have implications? For example a bride who is getting re-married isn't supposed to wear a white dress (but rather light coloured one), possibly since its not as "pure".

But if people don't care much about it I think it would be great, personally I'd exchange the black for a clear red or dark red belt instead, but that's just me.

She's supposed to be a virgin, too. And how many *first time brides* do you think are virgins? LOL.

Blue is mature enough to wear whatever she wants. Esp since she is helping pay for it.

It depends on the style of wedding though.

Gloves to me are very Joan Collins Dynasty, school prom and dress ups. Very few people can carry it off well. Even with couture it can border on trashy/classy. Especially when it is a white dress with black gloves.

That's my 2 cents worth. Taste is personal and subjective.

This is true. But have you seen pics of BlueS? She can.

The whole idea of dressing up for a wedding is very Cinderella anyway, when you think about it. Ultimately, its what the bride enjoys.

I just meant it as how the black could be misinterpreted.

She could always claim its symbolic of her first marriage, then dramatically light the belt on fire before she says her wedding vows?

One of these days someone should show up to a funeral while wearing a pink hat.

actually thinking about it, if it was my second wedding i would take more risks. i personally love the 80's style thats in atm, katy perry being my favourite style. she is a mixture of 80's and 50's, but probably not to everyones taste, but just a idea to throw in there blue, she has unique looks.

Maybe see how you go with the belt for this wedding, and try without for your next wedding....
