I know school take alot of effort but relationships shouldn't be mind straining. Its just talking through long distance to her....not rocket science that takes hours. right?

I think RoseB is right, they probably want her to focus on her own future (those selfish bastards) and another thought occurs to me. I wonder how much detail she has given her parents about any disagreements the two of you have had.
