    Neutral Standpoint

First off, I would like to say, that this issue is far from new.

I myself must first state my backround before I express some truths about this matter. My grandfather lived through both WWI and WWII. He had two houses in Greece in which he helped hide more than 12 Jewish families during the Holocaust. It is important to note that the nation of Israel was created as a land that the Jews would not be persocuted in. The very purpose of Israel was based on a history of oppression, genocide and ethnic cleansing.

    That being said.

The United States and Israel Relation is amung the most popular issues for political scholars to critisize; those who dare critisize it that is. It is one rich in the subfields of International Law, and of the First Amendment and free speech coupled with voters' rights.

First off, the AIPAC is the largest contributor in campaign donations, and the most powerful lobby in Washington to this day. Representing less than only 3% of the population, the organization itself, coupled with other proxy organizations such as the "Colorado Board of Good Government" and other such vague state bodies what are simply existing after the famous Buckley v. Valeo, 424 U.S. 1 (1976), established spending limits on individuals and organizations, composes 60% of donations for campaigns of politicians. The purpose of the action was to secure the power of the individual voter on the elections, and keep it supirior to that of donations. That didn't stop the AIPAC.

The AIPAC was quick to react, they not only set up over 900 "so-called", "Good Government" proxy organizations that could raise $9,000,000 in donations, an amount that can buy all the airtime you need to win "two" elections, but contributed indirect donations by paying media sources to bash opposing parties, and have bias coverage of favored candidates.

Furthermore, the interest of the AIPAC is not within the national interest to any extent. Thier interest is Israel. They sponsor government officials into power with the exchange of support for pro-Israel legislation. The Israeli budget has never been "cut" or reduced in any way. Unlike the budget for Education, Healthcare, Social Security or other programs that actually affect United States voters, the Israeli budget does not even get considered for reduction. Congress each year must choose if they will accept it as is, or raise it. Doing anything else endangers thier chances of an other term in office.

But why don't Americans vote against it? Americans, as it turns out, seem to consider Israel as the only true humane nation in the middle east, and have come to depict all "Islamic nations, even Christian rich nations such as Lebanon" as savage and terrorists, and having ways of life and forms of government that are oppressive to people and violate human rights.

Since this is my area of study in law, politics and economics, I have come to conclude that the facts speak for themselves. Israel has been brought before the UN Security Council many times for charges against war crimes, genocide, ethnocide, terrorism and other charges. Identical to the genocide to which Milosevic was tried for, Tadic was tried for, and Rawanda, Israel had the world as its toughest critic. Washington used its veto 32 times to shield Israel from critical draft resolutions between 1972 and 1997. This constituted nearly half of the total of 69 U.S. vetoes cast since the founding of the U.N.

It is no secret around the world that Israel rapes, murders, terrorizes, and ethnically cleanses the Palestinian people till this day. In fact, the claim that Israel need U.S. support does not sell to the rest of the world who know very well that Israel (a non-self-sufficient country) has the world's top five special forces, is amung the 20 nations with advanced military planes and tanks, develops bio-chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, and thermo-nuclear weapons and sponsor terrorism and genocide. Why don't Americans know? Because it happens with U.S. money.

Imagine how voters would react if they knew a politician would support Israel. How would voters like a politician who would declare that he supports taking money out of our U.S. economy, to help an economy that is just under nations like France and Germany, and over nations like Spain!!! How would voters like a politician who would declare taking money from an America that is in a tax deficit and placing itself into debt for every dollar of the $143 billion its placed itself in already by "aiding" Israel. He would have to make a choice of supporting Israel and getting donations, or not supporting Israel and getting the people's votes. In fact, if Americans knew, all donations would be useless. The issue would drive the other 97% of Americans the other way in the polls. So why doesn't this happen?

Simple. All news that comes from Israel to the U.S. is exclusive only to Israel. Reporters all over the world risk thier lives going into Israel looking for a story. No pictures, no videos, and no recordings, in other words (no proof of what is going on). The AP (Associated Press) covers more than 1 billion people around the world. It is most influencial in the U.S. The offices are located in Israel, with its PR office in New York. It claims to supply the "true and neutral" information on what is going on in the Middle East & Israel. News reporters every year film coverage of Palestinians being raped, tortured, killed and other such activites by Israeli soldiers. Such pictures and videos never survive by the time they reach to the AP offices in Israel. They are quickly destroyed. The information that gets back to the U.S. is hardly neutral. Most hard factual evidence that is preserved and produced by the offices in Israel show Israeli militants being killed as a result of Palestinian retaliation. The Palestinian side is never shown.

By keeping the American voters in the dark, and raising enough donation money to never challange the AIPAC and othe proxy organizations, the pro-Israel U.S. policy almost seems set in stone. But pro-Israel groups take steps further to ensure that they face no just little, but NO opposition.

Education is important is shaping the minds of voters. America, one can argue is the best in the world when it comes to education. This is both the truth and a lie. America is by far the best place in the world to pursue a higher education. This means your Masters, M.D., J.D., MBA, Ph.D.. and such. However, when it comes to highschool or 4-year college education, which is the average and majority of the voter's education, it is so bad that third world countries are starting to compete with the U.S. Should the U.S. take money towards higher quality highschools and colleges?

It should, but it will never do so to a degree that will form an educated body of voters. Furthermore, pro-Israel actavists take advantage of this educational block in information. The media knew very well starting from the 1960's to take anything but an anti-Israel stance. As soon as media stations would, accusations of anti-semitism started to flow, protests outside the offices of media outlets would drive down sales, funding, and cause a close to either the story, or the business. With media and politicians in check, the population is not to spare. Websites and subversive Israeli sponsored organizations helped monitor any educators which were teaching in an anti-Israel manner or even one that was not pro-Israel. Such professors or teachers were "blacklisted" on these sites and organizations. Pro-Israel activists would pay police officers to get information of these people such as social security numbers, license plate numbers of thier car, and such other information. Harrassment would take place until the "classroom lesson" would turn to a more or rather "less dangerous" tone.

The pro-Israel issue is not one that is hypocritical only to the First Amendment; it violates the freedom to assemble as anti-Israel groups are harrassed, the freedom of speech as the interest of Americans are not allowed to be addressed, and the freedom of the press as the press is also harrassed. The pro-Israel issue does not only pose a clear risk to national and international peace and security; all anti-Israel nations which cannot compete with a nation that has support from a superpower country along with enormous funding and military supiriority, result to the only form of retaliation that is labled as "terrorism" to the most technical definition of the word. Terrorism would essentially not exist to threaten Americans if the U.S. did not give support to a nation that oppresses other people in the middle east (Israel). But the Jewish State of Israel is also one of the largest non-American Burdens on our society. It harms relations with OPEC, causting $72 billion more in oil and gas because of bad relations with other nations. It causes $3 billion dollars more in national security spending to defend against Israeli sponsored espionage against American top secret documents and information (yes, you read that right). And, it causes over $150 billion dollars in debt Americans must pay for since the mid 1970's, to "help" a cause only 3% of the population supports. It results for "cuts" for programs that help the elderly and disabled, women's rights groups, education, farmer subsidies, healthcare insurance from the government (Medicare, Medicaid) and other such programs that cause Americans to suffer a cut worth over $218 billion in the 2005 fiscal year alone, to compensate for the ever-so-growing need to "Help" to "aid" Israel and expand its budget by eating into the pockets of hardworking, enduring Americans.

I think I will let the rest of the neutral people make statements and comments on the facts, before all the pro-Israel or confused Jewish people that think they are Israeli, or Islamic extemists, start to post thier "position" on the issue.

And since you know you cannot see yourself,
so well as by reflection, I, your glass,
    will modestly discover to yourself,
that of yourself which you yet know not of.

if that is really your concern shh!.. then there is already an organization that tries to pressure media to have a more neutral stand on the news and to support both sides of the issue equally.

unfortunatly, pro-Israel group funding created larger pressure to make news MORE biased and HURT REAL PEOPLE!!!, to be more specific, AMERICANS!!!

these are studies being conducted by the government sponsored organization to research the fairness of U.S. media.

take a look for yourself how REAL PEOPLE are being HURT by bias media..

    oh.. and..

On second thought, no, it wasn't a joke. All I did was put in my two cents, and this is after all an online forum. You called me an idiot for stating something which is true. I do not regret saying what I said.

the issue is already way out of hand.. i do not understand what you are exactly afraid of??

    that the computer will expload??

that the thread will shut down all other threads???

that the U.S. will declare war on loveforum???

please note your legitimate concerns to the entire community!!!

in fact, there is nothing on an online forum, that can have dire consequenses as to label the risk of the matter as "way out of hand".

we are merely discussing the truths around the world, if you do not wish to participate in the debate, then do not. But do not hinder any efforts we make to entertain this issue by wishing for it to be supressed on unjustified grounds.

unless you are afraid that this discussion could actually inform the public, and possibly benefit the American people?

such a fear is valid for feeling the need to supress such a discussion. we can infer that what is bad for the american people is good for the israeli people. hence, the benefits in respect to one an other have an inverse relationship.

if you are afraid that this may cause people in america to see this, to be exposed to the reality of our intervention and so called "assistance" with our "ally", then it may in fact suffice more to your claim that your initial groundless uproar.

however, I think that it is in the interest of both every citizen of america, as well as every citizen of the world to understand history as it takes place, not the fiction and fabrication of one nation's efforts to cover up an international crime against humanity.

Wow - you really are pretty arrogant, aren't you? Do you really think that since I don't agree with you, I must not know what's going on?

I believe the purpose of this thread originally was to critique US aid to Israel, which I favor, although perhaps not in the exact amount we give. You are free to NOT favor this kind of aid, but the question must be asked - why are you not criticizing economic aid to the other countries, many of whom are openly hostile to the US, as opposed to Israel who is the only reliable ally in the region? And why should I prefer to give that money to a population that hates America in large numbers and elects a government that favors and financially supports blowing up civilians?
