    It doesn't hurt to have a conversation about it when you are not at work. I wouldn't contribute my input to the supervisor unless it starts to effect me. Somewhere down the long they formed a friendship and it became more than just co-worker vs. co-worker. If he has been spoken to more than once... make your conversation with him a brief one... basically letting him vent about the situation and give him some friendly advice. NOT AT WORK THOUGH. That's just a suggestion if you do choose to say something to him.

    If you don't then... just be there for him when his ass gets fired. LOL <3

    I don't go within 100km of conflict at work if I can avoid it. It's such a waste of time and energy.

    But I don't work in teams. I'm either working on my own files, or doing work for solicitors, one on one.

    the last time i got involved (not voluntary) in an argument i was threatened with a subpoena to testify against a relative in which i would have probably perjured myself.

    Probably not enough tho, or they would have done their job already.

    Is your workplace toxic otherwise, Mish. Sometimes, it only takes one miserable person at work to ruin an otherwise good work team.

    Like CB says, not everyone works well in a team. This guy could be moved to an individual project.

    As for the 2 hour lunches, I have a different attitude about it. Some staff are very efficient and work hard to get their part of the project done quickly. If they want to take a two hour lunch b/c they are done, go ahead. I believe in being paid for actual work done, not time spent.
    Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.
