    All of it is just a substitute for simple math - calories out minus calories in should be a negative number. That will make you lose weight over time. Period.

    I think Jen is referring to cutting out sugar as part of a healthier diet, as opposed to specifically looking at factors relating to weight gain/loss.

    Max max ...know wonder you cant sleep........Exercise and diet.....you will never win without both IMO as always.I agree with HIA about sugar, thats a killer.

    This is correct. I don't need to lose weight, I'm just conscious of what I put into my body. If I have sugar it only causes me to crave more. And I don't count my daily dose of dark chocolate as I need my antioxidants.

    How do you mean?

    In fact, when l work out, I sleep really well.

    Last couple of weeks, no workout, no sleep ... probably because l wasn't working off all the energy l was consuming.

    OK good, Im not saying this to be condescending, but you work from home yeah? Maybe use the sessions to break up your day? Just sayin...dont know your progress???

    Why would it come across as condescending?

    I workout after work.

    Not sure what you mean by progress? Not working towards anything in particular, although doing a half marathon soon.

    I work out, l stay fit. I have no issues with my fitness, health or physique. S'all good.

    One week in Lanzarote, one week in Portugal. Mid-September is a good time to start catching waves on the Atlantic.
