I have never, ever had a crush that held up under close contact.

But would you even want that? It's almost as if you've constructed this absolutely wonderful guy that has nothing to do with Bartender Boy. I think you should recognize your own creativity, detach the Prince Charming character from the unsavory reality, and start writing a sexy novel starring him.
