it's always good to exercise. but if you eat a lot of junk your best bet is to change your eating habits NOW because you'll see them begin to affect you more and more.

snack on fruits and veggies and drink lots of water. cut one bad thing out of your diet every few months. don't cut out all bad stuff right away cause you'll go right back to it.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.

I don't see that you are gaining weight, and I think you have a fantastic figure, but if you are worried, I suggest cutting out refined carbohydrates such as sugar, corn syrup, bleached enriched wheat flour, and white rice. Also, Limit your alcohol consumption.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Thanks! I get a little scared when I put on a few pounds. :/

But I think I can cut out carbohydrates.
And what about bread. I made of list of things I eat a lot of.
And I eat a lot of bread and pasta. Should I cut back on that?

Ahhh no Heineken's!!!

I know how you feel!

I have a really poor diet compared what i should have and this past year have had like zero motivation to exercise. Ive noticed in the last week or so that i have put on 3 or 4 pounds, i dont usually gain weight but that soupled with the fact im starting to have a bit more zest for life lately has made me take action!!

Ive just entered a 10k (www.raceforlife.org) run for charity..its not until july but now ive entered it, it will give me the motivation to improve diet and obviously make sure im fit enough for it.
As for diet..i know its hard to eat healthy when you just cook for one..thats my downfall.

Could something like ive done(setting a goal) help you?

eat whole wheat breads and pastas.

they go through your system slower than simple carbs.

Breads and pastas ARE refined carbohydrates. I would severely limit them, if you are worried.

Yeah, watch the liquor intake. And sodas, even diet ones. Sugar in general is a killer. Once you cut sugars you don't crave them.

I know if I plan out my meals at the begining of the week, including snacks for work and whatever, I eat better and am less likely to go out to eat. Not to mention, its cheaper. Lean Cuisine and Healty Choice make some good frozen meals, also there are some soups out there that are really low in fat and sodium. I try not to eat anything after a certain hour at night too.

I was at the grocery store tonight actually and it sucks that all the good for us foods, fresh fruits and veggies are so much more expensive than junk food. Sometimes I hate living in the upper midwest where we don't get the option of having local fresh produce at hand year round.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Okay sounds good. I'm not a big soda drinker. Eww. They make me feel sluggish and bloated. I do drink a beer though. LOL! Yea Yeaaaaa. But I'm cutting back on that as it was suggested.

Its not just soda, its fruit juices and stuff too which contain a lot of sugar. You get your fruit intake sure, depending on what you buy, but really limit it to maybe a glass with breakfast. Water is awesome.

I try and drink at least 2 L a day. (then 2 L of beer too compensate)

You seem to be packing weight in all the right places Coco so don't go too far with all this diet talk.

Coco, you look fine.....and I mean fine!! Don't stress too much about it, the stress causes you to eat more. Pretty much every Restaurant has light meals nowadays, so if you keep fruit and maybe some bisquits/crackers on hand for snacks, and excercise 2 -3 times a week and more on weekends, you'll be OK.
