She wasn't right to break up with you this way, not at all.

It was rude and mean, I agree.

Be glad that you're done with her, if that is the kind of person she is.

WIpe your hands of her and move on.

Oftentimes, the answers we are looking for cannot unfortunately even be answered. And, if we get them.........we find ourselves just having more questions.

Yes I know you are right.

But when you are dissapointed and a bit upset we dont all think straight...unless you are some sort of strange robot type creature!

"nor are they so prone to silly stereotypes about Americans."

Washington murder rate per 100,000 people = 69.3

Philadelphia murder rate per 100,000 people = 27.4

New York City murder rate per 100,000 people = 16.8

Los Angeles murder rate per 100,000 people = 17.1

London murder rate per 100,000 people = 2.1

Belfast murder rate per 100,000 people = 4.4

Rome murder rate per 100,000 people = 1.7

Athens murder rate per 100,000 people = 1.4

Moscow murder rate per 100,000 people = 18.1

I rest my case on the nutters thing!...even Moscow (the most dangerous city in Europe) is far safer than most US cities!

(and keep in mind that Moscow is about twice the size of New York City)

When Europe is as culturally diverse as America is, come talk to me about your statistics.

In the meantime, the murder rates you posted are per 100,000 people, so that would make Moscow more dangerous than both New York and Los Angeles.

In any case, what does this have to do with your stalker tendancies?

Well, I would say do NOT go around her house, that's creepy. Hate to say it, but she's made it obvious that she doesn't want to talk to you now. Just back off. Who knows? She may come back around, it's happened to me more than once with women over the years.

Having said that, yes breaking up via email is a chickens**t way to do it. Last year I was dating a girl that I liked a lot and we were going hot and heavy. In fact she told me the 'I'm falling madly in love with you!' in a moment of passion. Two days later? An email: 'I don't think I'm the girl for you, sorry.' That was it. WTF?

Last month I'm in a club. A girl comes up to me out of nowhere and says 'My girlfriend can't keep her eyes off of you and is too shy to meet you. Please join us at our table.' Fine. (This was 'Sharon Tate' for you followers of my drama) Sit down, make small talk, she's quiet, seems shy, buys me a couple of drinks and gives me her number at the end of the night. I call once, leave a 'lite' message. No return call. A few days later, I try again thinking perhaps she didn't receive my first message. No return call.

Sorry for the ramble, but the moral of the story is people are f**ked up and inconsiderate. We ONLY have control over ourselves. (Hopefully) Don't go to her house and hard as it may be, drop it for now. Don't call or write. Meanwhile, look around for someone else...

Well, if you consider shared language as one one element of a common culture, then I would.

In the Los Angeles Unified School district, there are 92 different primary languages being spoken by the student population.

According to the following website, there are 1000 different languages being spoken in the Americas, and only 230 in Europe.

And I still don't see what this has to do with whether or not loverboy ought to be harrassing his ex-girlfriend.

Haha - I just noticed this thread was posting in the "dating" section rather than the "dumping". Talk about denial...

Haha yeah, her statement made me laugh.

EDIT: The only reason the USA has a bigger crime rate than the Uk is because the USA is a bigger country! Confused I think you should take the hint that it's over, and turning up at her house is slightly stalkerish mainly as she doesn't want to see you, get over it and move on.

Blackiesharley's got the right idea- move in a different direction. She's crap.

And if we're trying to protray Americans as people who graciously accept dumpage without frantically wanting to see the ex- all I can say is that Shh! is probably holding the whole country to a standard we can't live up to.

While I've never actually turned up on an ex's porch, I've certainly wanted to. If I were considering such a move, I'd hope that everyone here was a little nicer about steering me in a better direction.

Not so - I am just defending my fellow Americans from an unprovoked attack by a self-professed "confused" man. Of course we have nut cases here, I was only speaking to the crime rate because confused seems to think we are all walking around packing pistols and stalking our exes.

If you look at his previous threads, you wil see this is not the first time he has exhibited ethnocentrism...

Moscow police are less strict than NYC ones...hmmmm, think you have got that a bit wrong. But you are right, they are more corrupt. The difference in Russia as opposed to most countries is that when you go into prison, you are highly unlikely to ever come out again because they are in such a dreadful condition that people often die in them. This seems to be a sufficient punishment to stop most Russians committing crimes. This is why almost all serious crime in Russia is carried out by the Russian Mafia.

So are you saying that more languages produces a more common culture?

Well if so your stats are rubbish.

I know one housing estate alone in Birmingham, UK that has a recorded 250 languages being spoken!

And it is widley accepted that there are about 300 different languages spoken in London.

To stay on this theme also try to remember that 80% of American people have never left their own country.

My word...some people really should get an eduction or listen more at school...heres a quick maths lesson....the crime rates are shown as per 100,000 people. It is not simply being shown as numbers of crimes.

Anyway to continue with your "bigger country" statement you will notice I used stats from the whole of Europe....and Europe is far more populated than the USA....Europe = 700 million, USA = 200 million.

No, American people just kill each other more often than European people do. Even the American government admit the country has a serious crime problem when compared to the rest of the developed world. But having said that Shh! probably knows much more about everything than they do.

And you are actually telling people to "shh!"...no more explanation needed.
