The sad thing is, that we are so arrogant that we could care less if we have our allies support or not. ughhhhhhhhh

Another thing that bothers me is when I see these "glorified" armed forces commericials. You know the one where he says, "No, i was working with computers"

Why dont they show the guy coming home is a casket?

Everytime i see it I think of nazi germany, and the propaganda they used.

I thought the FBI was checking up on us or something. You know we dont really have "free speech" anymore. lol

WTF? Do we live in a dictatorship, or democracy? Jesus, what are we trying to sell to the world.

I'm not going to get into this with ya'll. Nobody's going to change their mind. I just hope ya'll move to Canada....At least any of you who are living in the states.

Everyone cries Oil, Oil, Oil and yet we have the highest gas prices we've had since the 80s. Apparently we're not fighting for oil.

Still not as high as Europe's oil prices, though. And I love Canada.

IMO it is for oil. However, the rising price of oil doesn't have to do with just us. World demand, namely Asia is driving consumption up.

Certain countries in the Middle East (see Saudi Arabia) could turn the taps all the way up, but why should they when they can sell oil for $64/barrel. And we let them b/c we must have something going on with them over there. It's all politics and it's all shady.

Rather than move to Canada, I think we ought to form our own country, which would include all of the liberal states (including NY and CA, the financial capitals of the country). But sadly, that would throw the rest of the country (who voted for Bush) into economic disaster. Texas can't support you all...

    yep, the question is, WHEN?

And about the oil angle; I dont think oil is the main reason for us staying in Iraq. Its for our global prescence. One base after another. As we speak, we are building an enourmas "supply base" in Israel.

Is this going to turn into the crusades of our generation? I willing to bet this bible thumper could very well make it happen.

If we would leave them alone, they would leave us alone. Until then, the attacks will continue.

We say we want peace, but in all actuality its the last thing we want.
