Yeah, if you have known the person a long time and are very close then "I love you" takes on a new weight, but a random "I love you" show immaturity. But that is only true when referring to romantic love. rawr..

There are moments when one feels free from one's own identification with human limitations and inadequacies. At such moments one imagines that one stands on some spot of a small planet, gazing in amazement at the cold yet profoundly moving beauty of the eternal, the unfathomable; life and death flow into one, and there is neither evolution nor destiny; only Being. - Albert Einstein
Happened to me twice--two different women I was dating said The Phrase.
Time 1: My response was, "Ahh...uncomfortable moment. I was actually calling to break up with you."
Time 2: My mental response was: "Uh oh."
General sensation of drowning
Time 3: I said The Phrase and the response to me was, "I am turning red, I don't know what to say."
She and I were swimming when I said it...after her response, I wished I had SCUBA gear and had descended into the depths.
the problem is that people think so much too often. Maybe I haven't been in love, but I'm pretty sure that in life you will die and if you had the chance to think about your past before that death, that you would see then a shining moment. It might not be love by anyone else's standards, but it'll be the closest you ever came.
Humans are always trying to hold out for something better. It's because we watch movies and follow a pop culture. Admit it.
For some reason, "It must have been love" by Roxette is running through my head....
I'm not holding out for something better. I'm holding out for something worthwhile...she exists but I don't think she lives in this town
When a girl tells me she loves me the first thing I think of is the easiest, quickest way to break up with her.
Yeah. A teeny-bopper from back in high school. Decided she was in love with me after about two weeks. She named our children, planned our wedding, even had her niece call me uncle. I freaked out and broke up with her. After that she'd call all the time sobbing and pleading... eyuck. She even had guys call me up and threaten me.
i'd say i love you too. NOT!
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
Life? Ewh no. Hooked until I actually win her over. Then the thrill of the chase is gone... But seriously, she was creepy. It wasn't just that she said she loved me. She was psycho. Sophomore year she attempted suicide and wound up in a mental hospital for reasons unrelated to the breakup. Lovely first girlfriend, no?
