I started off drinking whiskey's and bourbons.

But after a little vomiting incident which was simply a matter of consuming a few too varied mixed drinks, I stopped.

Why do so many people stop altogether when they have a "vomiting incident"? Why not just reduce your alcohol intake (or variety) next time and learn how to regulate your buzz without pushing it too far?

Hopefully they'll have some around here, I'm tired of the bitter beers where you either down them in one go to avoid the taste or sip them and enduring the bitterness.

    Acquired taste, I guess.

Why would I want to regulate my buzz?

Once I get the buzz I stop drinking altogether to get rid of it.

You must understand, if I can tell the alcohol is affecting me, I no longer want to have anything to do with it.

Then what's the point of drinking if not for the pleasant, mood-altering effects?

Do you drink it for the taste? It's appearance?

That's what this thread is about, I found a beer with a flavor I genuinely enjoy.

I don't care for the alcohol.

If non-alcoholic beer taste better than alcoholic, then I'd rather have those.

White or light beers that I'd recommend:

ShockTop Belgian White: Unfiltered Wheat, probably a 6 of 10.
Allagash White: Probably an 8.5 of 10.
Hitachino Nest White: 9 of 10. Expensive but delicious.

Blue Moon is one of my favorite white beers.
Any imported German beer that's labeled "Hefeweizen" or "weizen" is a wheat (white) beer. They're quite numerous. The only one that comes to mind off the top of my head is Franziskaner - I think they make a wheat beer.

    Franziskaner is my favourite
