i do no a bit about particle physics having studied it at university, i hope these fear mongers get what they ask for though... why would you WANT to spread fear and panik among the idiotic citizens of the world, especially when you ACTUALLY believe that were all going to die!

basically the thing is a great big hollow donut which they fire atoms round and due to the fact they are effectively wieghtless, they obtail a gravitational attraction to curve in a specific way [ie a specific angle and direction; hence why the donut is sooo massive]. they use the atom bits and bobs inside which are positively and negatively charged to dictate direction and angle, depending on what the element is [oxygen, carbon, etc]. so by using different elements of slightly different charges and masses they can obtain different effects when the things flying around the donut crash into each other...

they have done hundreds of thiings like this before, like when they first split the atom, its simply the next stage of atomic exploration.
