Use traps.
Use traps.
Don't expect anything.
Don't you have a kid? If so, forget the firearms. Too many kids end up hurt with them around. I like the idea of the dogs, myself.
I'm not going to get a firearm. Becasue i do have a ten year old and i just don't want to open up a can of worms that can turn against me and my family.
I am getting mace! I was alos thinking a stun gun f**king zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzap the hell out of someone
It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone - but it takes a lifetime to forget someone"
People change and forget to tell each other.
I don't think mace will help you from longer range ...
How about a BB gun/rifle? They won't kill you, but they'll hurt enough to get your point across ...

Life is ... Too Short.
"It seems we living the 'American Dream', but the people highest up got the lowest self-esteem. The prettiest people do the ugliest things ... for the road to riches and diamond rings."
You know what a BB gun will get you? A fractured skull when the thug yanks it out of your hand and snaps it in half over your head.
God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

I still think its a better idea than mace...

Yeah, I bet a gun is a big help when you are away on vacation while your house is being emptied. Might just shoot yourself. Burglary is very common, but there are not many people who have defended themselves against it by using guns...
Don't expect anything.
We're still on guns? I still think the iron bars/gate is a good bet ...
And boobaa, I think she was worried about actually encountering a burglar in her home. Hence why she suggested buying mace.

Well, nothing to add except for 'I'm happy to know you are fine'... oh, and forget weapons: most murders are committed with the victim's weapon, so stay away from them.
Nothing wrong with a gun...as long as it's in a safe. Then only one person can get to it.
You.
We got a home alarm about 5 years ago when our neighbor was ripped off, not once, but twice. Plus depending on your insurance, you may get a discount, for us it practically pays for itself.
While we're on the subject of burglary, has anyone seen that show, "It Takes a Theif." It's pretty cool.
swine!!!
i'm so sorry blue.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
Watch that TV program where they have a burglar break into the person's house, and then fix it up with all those lovely security devices.
I don't even trust the people I live with, and I have a charlie bar in the window, and reinforced glass. The door has two locks, and I have a loaded 12 gauge at the bedside, along with a buck knife and a fillet knife. I also have an air pistol by the bed that shoots 1500 FPS and will kill someone if hit in the right spot. I hope I never have to use any of that to defend myself, and I hate violence, but I have been in some scary incidents, and because of a situation going on over here with my brother, we have angry drug dealers coming around the block.
