It is bizarre that you have such a strong emotional reaction to someone's name. But, like everyone else said, call her a pet name. And try to get to the root issue of why the name "hurts your brain" because that is just a little bit odd.

Check your brain history.. Maybe someone in the past was named Peggy that you really hated or bullied you or is named after someone in a movie which played a character that you hated! Just throwing ideas Most likely you have associated the name with something negative, OR you just hate how it sounds.. Hmm.. Curious.

She's your girlfriend though, I've never went out with someone where I have hated their name. Of all the possible things her name is what bugs you the most? It's just a name! And you should like her more for her name anyway. A name shouldn't be a dealbreaker. If it bugs you so much just call her by a nickname or petname.
