or its possible he wants a girlfriend and you if are not willing to be his girlfriend so he wants to keep his options open if you decide you dont want to date him

I don't have an issue with profiles staying up. My issue is profiles being made active again when you are still together

I was with my ex for 18 Months she took her profile down after we had been together a month but three Months before we broke up she started a new one which pretty much told me she was looking elsewhere so when I found it I ended it with her.

Thank you for the advice everyone, it's really helpful.

His profile hasn't changed, but Match will tell you when someone has logged in - active within 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, etc etc. He is logging in, but I don't think anything terrible is going on, because he's still calling on a regular basis, making plans in advance, stuff like that. I agree that maybe he's just not ready to go all in - his last girlfriend turned out to be a princess/slightly psychotic so he's a bit cautious I think.

I've pretty much decided to be calm about the whole thing and just be light and fun to be around. Give him a little more time to figure it out. He's worth waiting a bit for.
