Most of the love relationships are emotionally draining and require a daily effort once that the honey moon phase is over. There is nothing to envy about the married/attached people you know. They've got plenty of issues they're dealing with on a daily basis, some of them are even facing serious crises or simply learnt to reach a happy compromise. There are very few lucky people who haven't had to sacrifice something very important to them for a love realationship, and even less people who honestly think it was worth it.

You don't lack anything, Andrew, just the realisation that your life as a single guy is better than the life of many of those couples that make you feel insecure because their daily reality you actually don't know.

Orangesun: yeah i wouldn't try it with someone from work simply because of the issues it would cause, but yeah i do need to try more singles night.

Valixy: Well the problem is i don't really know how the other half live so to speak and have yet to properly experience a real relationship. i am ready to sacrifice certain freedoms of my single life for a real relationship? yes, i certainly am ready for that chance for happiness! especially for the right person bring it on!!

    It certainly is.

Why the name calling? If that's what you meant, you should've said that.

Keep trying. I can guarantee you there are many socially awkward women on dating sites, so don't be afraid to say it in your profile, that you are socially awkward; women, whether they are shy/socially awkward or not, will find it cute, funny and honest of you, and will know on the first date not to expect a social butterfly.

Best of luck in your search
