How would they know that most people who come into the ER with rectal prolapse is gay unless they asked, or the patient disclosed this information, which I doubt would happen. One of the causes of rectal prolapse is definitely not anal sex. Even a pregnancy could cause rectal prolapse.
Actually, I've had a few gay patients volunteer their sexual preference to me. I'm one of those people whom other people like to tell stuff to, I guess. People divulge all kinds of stuff to health care workers.
Anyway, I wouldn't have failed the test because I always go with the textbook answer so I can prove my position if need be.
