I have a problem. I hate second hand smoke. That obviously isnt the problem. The problem is that all my friends smoke. I am tired of sitting in a bar or a smoking section were we go. Shouldnt the non-smoker have the first say were to sit since it is his health in jeapordy?. Any ideas?

You can't smoke indoors at any public place where I live. They're even making it illegal to smoke in front of entrances to buildings. It's great. So I never have a problem with my smoker friends smoking around me, unless I'm at their place. If I'm at their place, I just put up with it, because it's their house and they can do whatever they want in it.

It really just sounds like a majority thing. If you only have two friends who don't smoke and you don't see them often vs. I think you said around 20 friends who do smoke then it's probly just seeing that so many of them do they just assume they should sit where the majority will want to. If you tell them you have a problem and they just blow you off, maybe that's another thing to look at entirely; what kind of people you're associating yourself with.
