tough one. personally, i don't mind spending a lot of time with the person i love. but that goes only for free time. i think you should definitely look for other jobs, since both of you want to quit anyway.
your lunches together don't really make a difference, i think.

in the office i used to work there was a couple, too. they also were living together, meanwhile they got a kid. they also did go for lunch together, but usually not alone, like artyemi already mentioned.
what is more, they used to spend a lot of their time off not together (friends, hobbies, sometimes one would go on a holiday without the other … ). they always looked like a very happy couple to me.

so i really think you to should give each other more space, not spend so much of your time together if you want to stay happy. talk to her, ask her how she feels about this and work out a plan that works out for both of you. (heehee, i just love to use the same phrase twice in one sentence – sorry 'bout the derail, though)

No I wasn't saying to do this every day. I'm saying some during the week or on the weekends or whatever works best with their schedule. There has to be some space here and neither one of themare getting it. I mean it got to a point where I used to go int eh bedroom just to read to have my own space for awhile and that wasn't enough, So I know how important it is to have that time, and going out and doing something with friends periodically is not that bad!
