Exactly, like I said, Hollywood makes them seem like such a big deal, and they're really not, at least not to everybody, it's more individual, some people (mostly girls) do look forward to it simply to get all dressed up.

I went to my Senior prom with my ex. and I had a lot of fun.

For one night, all my problems with life, all the issues I had...were thrown out the window. A night dedicated to us, with fancy hollywood-like proportions. It's was a great chapter towards the end of my high school career.

I went stag to the prom and so did most of my friends. The table we sat at ended up getting nicknamed the "singles" table. All girls and one guy. lol. He was one of my good friends and then everyone just decided that "oh, we are going to put you guys together for tonight." haha! It was fun either way.

I just liked the dressing up aspect and having fun dancing. I had a good night.

Why NOT go to the prom? Its a fun night and it would be pointless to miss it unless you had to. They aren't that big of a deal. It is just another party.
