I think you should wean yourself off the happy pills before you get there so its a non-issue. 4th year is a cruise year, course wise especially if you are doing a thesis project. Good time to sort out your shit, DM.
And yes, if I knew you were on ADs in an interview, that would be a an issue. It might not be enough to reject you, but definitely a large mark against you. Med school is stressful enough without accepting someone who seems to have problems coping before they even start.
FWIW, I wouldn't hold it against you doing graduate research. But then again, few researchers are responsible for another person's life and most of them have weird psych quirks anyway. I think its par for the course for very smart people. I've actually considered trying drugs myself, but I'm afraid I'd get addicted.
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.
