    I would not be completely against required gun safety courses before the purchase of a firearm.

    My only issue with that, (which would actually just be an issue for other people) is that in rural areas, there are less gun ranges and such, and many people learn guns and gun safety from their parents through hunting or what have you.

    I think something like this would have to adjusted to where you are learning it. For example in the rual areas, you have to goto the sheif station and show them that you can operate a gun safely and know enough about it that you know what your doing. But I think it would be a good thing to do anyway.
