Some young guy at work is seriously hitting on me. I am so out of practice, I don't know how to respond without it getting awkward, and before I realized what he was up to, I invited him to a work party, which he must have took to be somehow meaningful.

For the record, I invited everyone I ran into, from kitchen staff to doctors, because we are celebrating our floor becoming stroke-certified, which is a big deal.

Blah. You just can't be nice to boys.

Of course, there's no way in hell I am calling him. I'm not even sure how to respond. I don't really want to embarrass him; I have to work with him!

Am I obligated to hang out with him at this party because I invited him? Because I was really wanting to hang out with this gay guy I adore. Jeezus, what if he thinks this is a date?

Who knows the going rate for a cocktail? After buying two drinks (vodka/tonic) , I ran out of the bar without paying, and I want to send some money to the bartender.
