When a girl says "we don't know what the future holds"

Hey, I've recently split with my girlfriend, she dumped me. Been 7 weeks now and still struggling but deep down I've still got hope in me that one day we will try again...

Basically all I'm wondering is what is the real meaning to "we don't know what the future holds for us"... That's what she's said to me and today that's all I've been thinking about.. What does she really mean when she says that?

Haven't spoke to her for 2 weeks now and she's made no contact with me either. I'm hoping that this no contact thing is giving her a chance to miss me but I'm not too sure.

I wouldn't put any heart into it. She broke up with you for a reason. Dwelling on her and wasting your life when she's probably out there moving on, doesn't seem wise and is only going to cause u more pain.
