I for one speak the truth when I've had a bit to drink & my emotions are at the fore front. Is this the same for most guys & if so, how do you feel in the morning when you've said things that maybe you shouldn't etc?

No it's not like that 100% of the time. Sometimes alcohol will tend to over exaggerate feelings or perception and when we sober up we say "what the hell was I thinking?" That's why there are sayings like "It's was the alcohol that was doing the talking", "Nobody is ugly after 2am" "She's so ugly he must be wearing beer goggles" "After 6 beers she started to look good."
So my advice is to take it with a grain of salt.

Alcohol and hormones can be a bad mix. Don't believe everything a guy tells you sober or not sober. Actions speak louder than words.
Forgot...."drink her up to a 10."
Alcohol lowers inhibitions, so it is only natural to say what is on your mind.

Alcohol makes it so that we don't think before we speak. I've said stupid stuff. For me, I just shrug it off and laugh about it.
Alcohol "helping ugly guys get girls for over 1000 years"
I feel emotions when drunk that I don't feel when sober. Therefore the truth when drunk is not the same as the truth when sober.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.
That's why the sign posted behind the bar says "nobody is ugly after 2am....."
Drink just makes you more emotional.
Doesn't mean what you say is always the truth.
When you wake up and go "Oh shit" that's the prime example that what you said, was not true. Sometimes you will wake up and still agree with what you said - Then you know it's the truth.
