However, I know you're going to ignore us and will respond anyway. So, if you do respond, tell him: "Why do you flirt with me if you're interested in someone else? It's pretty pointless ."

Seriously, if the guy I was seeing was in love with someone else, I'd be out of there fast. Because you're sort of lingering around, he must think you're stupid or easy...you can't be just friends since you have feelings for him so all you are doing is prolonging your own misery.

Text him back "Oh hi. Given circumstances I don't think we should continue communicating for a while...obviously I like you and you're in love with someone else so the whole thing is a bit messy. Have a good week'.

That's what I'd do anyway. You could of course just continue being his second/third option.
