I am the Man in Black

I've had this idea for a poem stuck in my head ages, so I've finally written in down my first real poem idea. a rather unusual poem, about loneliness and trying to find the one:

I am the Man in black
I walk in a sea of dark
I cannot see where I travel
Only know where i have been
In the dark i see a light
A light to guide me home
out of the dark?
Could it be her?
The one i seek?
But no it is merely a mirage
a false light, flickering and gone
In the dark I walk ever on
I am the Man in black

so what do you think?

You're welcome, I thought I had posted a comment too, guess not, so I will now.

Your poem reminds me the mysterious dark new stranger in town that keeps to himself and all want to know about but too scared to ask and all he wants is just one to take a chance and try.

Thanks Joanna1, i suppose that one of looking at it i didn't consider, but also quite true. its just supposed to be metaphorically speaking about someone wandering through the loneliness of his life, trying to find someone to guide him home i suppose. i also have no idea why i used man in black, just sounded right.
