I am in a relationship of 3 years and we are in love with each other. But my boyfriend often says that he misses his ex when I get too troublesome(which happens often). I am really disturbed by this. I confronted him about this and he said that he cannot control what he thinks. What do I do?

And if he misses his ex it's not a very nice thing to say. Perhaps you should suggest if he misses her then your relationship isn't working and he should try getting back with her - and to shut the hell up about his bloody ex. Guy sounds like a dickhead.

He doesn't miss his ex, he says that to hurt you...he seems to think that is how he can control you. He is an abusive prick. You don't say things like that to someone you love so I doubt very highly he actually loves you.

Get rid of him. He either really DOES miss her, in which case he will abandon you (if she ever gives him another chance, or if another woman turns his head), or he is just a jackass for saying something so cruel.
