I like a guy at college and have tried to talk with him a few times so far. All my friends say a guy will start things if he is interested and that I can be too much sometimes. The few times we did speak he did'nt run away - lol - which is good I think but i'm not sure he knows how I feel. If I keep trying like this will I make him dislike me? I dont want to lose a chance by just not trying but my friends really dont think I should keep trying to talk/flirt with him!

It depends on the guy, and ti depends on you. If you come off as spastic and crazy he may think you are just scary. But if you come off as being a cool perosn then he'll come around. Anyway, be sure you speak to him as an equal and don't act skittish or anything.

IMO it is bollox when girls say men like the chase, maybe they do to an extent. But flirting would not put me off for certain.

All I understood from my friends is that girls are not allowed to initiate anything which I already thought was silly. I'm not being overbearing I think. I'm not afraid of being rejected.
