    Girls, what does it mean

So girls, I need some advice on what this means. So, I know this girl whoes from my college classes, and we're friends on facebook, but we dont really talk much. So, this weekend was my birthday, and she posted "happy birthday" on my wall, which I was surprised, cause she's one of the friends I'd least expected to notice its my birthday, and i've never had a girl say that to me before. So I saw her happy birthday message on my wall, and liked it, and then I replied on her wall with a "thank you", and she liked it. After that, we even had a nice casual conversation, and she seemed comfortable with me, and she even said, "have a nice birthday" just before she went offline. Does this mean anything, or was she just saying it as a friend? I just turned 22, I've never dated before, and I don't really have many friends. I'm also very shy around girls. Some advice would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Gosh, really hard to tell what her intent was. She could have been friendly, or she could be feeling you out.

    Is she also shy?

Since she's in some of your classes, I'd try and grab her one day after class, and just make a comment about the professor, the material, etc. Get a casual dialogue going, and you should be able to suss out her interest.

Sure. I'll post it here when i get it. I know that facebook tells you when someones birthday is, but she seemed really nice about it....

She doesn't talk much about herself. She's sometimes shy. I got a bit jealous when she kept sitting beside this same guy in class all the time, but there was always a third person sitting beside them.

Well, you should ask her out on a date. If she says no, that means she is not interested.

I dunno.... I'm not very close to her.... Won't she think its too sudden? Should ii just ask her hang out with me, to make it less obvious that its a date?

She's online right now, but has chat turned off.... What does this mean?

Asking a girl to hangout is less confronting - but it's also a way to get friend zoned. You don't want her to think that you want to just hang out
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Should I still give it a shot and ask her, or should I just stay as friends with her? If so, how do i ask her, as I've never done this before?

But it doesn't sound like she hates me either.... One things for sure, I need to lose some weight, and get a personal trainer, cause I'm kinda fat.
