Confused about missing someone.

So there's this girl I'm friends with at college that I think I really like. When ever she's not around; this could be just at college, weekends or holidays, I really end up missing her. We end up texting each other alot.
However when I am around her I just feel like we are friends. I'm quite a shy guy what can/shall I do?
