I think age is a big factor in this. I'm 25, and texting has always been a big part of my relationships - but, texting is just something of my generation. I've dated older men a few times, and they just don't see texting the same way I do.

The replies baffle me, but do not surprise me. If you don't care to talk to the person, what kind of relationship do you think you will have. Communication is what brings a couple closer. You can live with someone for years and know nothing about them if you don't communicate. How do you expect to build a relationship if you don't talk regularly. There has to be a desire to communicate with your loved one. A relationship should not an accessory to your life.

in the beginning stages of a new relationship-i like texting a lot coz you have loads to talk about and it can be really fun. when you run outa things to talk about there is sexting which is also fun.

but once the relationship is more established-i prefer phonecalls. i rarely text my bf- we live together and see each other every day so i may only text him to say "can you pick up milk please" or "nakedand waiting for you '
