Your ex couldnt have been that bad-you did spend five years with her which is a long time. Maybe you just didnt realize you were not compatible until you lived together which is common.

And you did say you only saw each other 1-2 times a week before you moved in together so that probably explains why it didnt work out.
^^^So on point. We spent most weekends together (prior to living together) and maybe during the week we saw each other once or twice. Living together killed it. I realized I wasn't a 100% myself and had to dumb it down much of the time. I just can't take selfish and lazy people that take you for granted and treat you poorly.

At least you learned a lot from that experience and now know exactly what you want

Well I knew this before her. She just fooled me, she was "fools gold." Seemed great in smaller doses then when you had to live the daily reality it was like WTF. Opps were jacking a thread again...lol. Sorry OP, but at least we are still talking about what you want in a partner.

    ha sorry OP

lesson learned: spend more time with gf before moving in together

me and my bf actually moved into his parents house for two weeks while they were on holidays. Thats what pushed us to live together and we got our own place 2 weeks later but before that we were seeing each other at least 4-5 times a week.

Well that's because those grade A slabs of meat you want are in high demand... there's a lot more "average Joe's"... hence why they're "average".

Maybe stop down by your local butcher and put in an order for grade A slabs of meat and see what he can come up with for you.

I guess it's gonna take a while to find that special man; the one different from the others. It would be cool if he has both looks and personality.
