As I see it, he thinks I glorify ignorance and I say I dont. I say he's preaching his theories and he says he's merely stating them..in a nut shell.

you guys are saying the same thing and arguing about it.
I noted what we're actually arguing..it's just a couple of differences we have.

you just like to argue don't you?
No, we don't..why do you say that? Now come up with facts or examples supporting your statements and I'll come back with a rebuttal...

Whoop me? The answer to that is: NEVER. but as far as just playing, I dunno, Sombra..I've been so busy during the week catching up on things I didn't do over the weekend for one reason or another...for example last week we had to prepare for my sister's surprise b-day party..so that was Freddie time I lost before, during, and after the party (we had to entertain family from Chihuahua).. then cleaning up after the guests a little bit. Then I met this new friend and hung out with her all afternoon on Sunday.. so during the week I catch up on cleaning and organizing and stuff.. Then this weekend I'm going to Chihuahua..so I don't know, sombra..but I'll catch you there some time..

Thanks misombra. I was actually meaning post #51. I have a friend who studies galaxies & it looked a whole like one of those images...those I guess many astonomers must make use of the same images. Beautiful.

Original sin is inherent. That's correct. However to say 'being born is a sin....the shame of existence', with all due respect, Sir, that statement is utter rubbish.
I must address this first and foremost. IF Original Sin is inherent, AND it's passed on to you WHEN you are born, then you are BORN in SIN? See? It's really not that difficult to follow. If you are BORN IN SIN, then being BORN is a SIN!!!! God.

Okay, moving on. Nomas, I'm just glad that you agree that ignorance is not something you would choose. I think that opening up to the world makes you a better person, and I think that most of the horrendous acts of this planet's history have been comitted by people who actually needed a firm "shaking." Don't you?

Misombra, I don't know what is so negative about an argument. But if the concept of argument is so horrid to you, which it seems to be mainly to people who always lose them, consider what we are doing as simply dialectecally approaching the truth.

Nomas, Logical Positivism is the assertion that a theory can be judged by man's reason. The most "logical" argument gains a place as the most likely. It is "positive" because it trust man to make that decision, or, it trusts that he can.

You do not "value" intellect? Than why are we having this discussion? Without man's mind/reason/logic he would not be alive today. That is our greatest tool on this planet. Everything you know comes out of this intellect. Everything great in the human world comes from man's reason.

Another logical construct: Since we do not know if the knowledge we gain in this world will be useful in the next (if a next exists), the safest thing to do is to learn all you can. Get it? Of course, this argument can also be used for praying to Allah, but it's different. Because we can learn things, in fact, we're wired to. It's not the same type of choice to discover Allah as it is to read a scientific journal. Allah follows no logic, it cannot be grasped. Things of the mind can be.

I'm glad you got the jab.

Mesomebroad, perhaps you can post a link instead of more pictures? Yes, I have hijacked your thread.
