Stuck in this tornado of a relationship

I know that I have been stuck in this tornado of a relationship for over a year. I'm an intelligent, professional mother of two sons attending college (one in his PhD program). I do not want to fall back into his spell - and hate to talk to my close friends and family about this. They are worried about me and scared I'll go back - so telling them I am hurting only upsets them.

I'm reaching out to the ear of strangers.
