How to initiate that you would like to hang out?

I was chatting with this oen girl and mentioned that we should get together and hang out and meet. She said sure, but I don't think she is 100% comfortable with it, due to not knowing me well.

So I have been wanting to message her and just explaining myself and just chatting.

I thought about saying this "hey, I know i mentioned before about us possibly hanging out, and that might have been premature of me since we don't really know each other lol. So If it makes you feel more comfortable we can chat on here and get to know each other. I just asked because you seem to be someone that would be fun to hang around with"

Does that sound ok? I'm not looking to just have sex with her, so should i maybe mention that somehow??

Just ask her to meet you somewhere totally public, coffee shop etc. Apologizing for asking someone out is just about the easiest way to show someone you have no spine.
