do more people see/reply to you forum if you have alot of contacts?

i have no contacts or anyone i talk to regularly here because honestly im new to forums, and i would post something and get 1 view and zero replies while someone would post something in the same forum 4 minutes later ans have 2 replys and 16 views. its almost always like this, is it just coincidence or is it some other reason.

keep in mind im new to forums and im not the most social guy on this site lol

I can't speak for anyone else, but I can say that I skip over a lot of threads which look like something I've seen 1000x before, or if the spelling is awful, or if the topic is uninteresting.

^^^What she said. I do this too. If I've seen the same thing over and over, there's a good chance I'll skip it. If I click on it and it's 2,000 words long without capitalization, punctuation, spelling and MOST importantly paragraphs, I skip it. If a poster can't be bothered to write legibly, then I can't be bothered to read it.
