Does anyone intentionally play dumb when someone is flirting with them?

You may or may not have seen me previous thread about a guy I had been seeing. What is important is that the end result is that I am single and pretty much every single person in the general circle of people I spend time with knows it.

So last night I went out with a few friends and since its not really a secret I am kinda easy (just being honest) a had a lot of people flirting with me. I am just wondering if anyone else just plays dumb and acts like they don't understand what the guy is trying to do even though it is pretty much clear as day?

I don't have to act. Playing dumb comes naturally to me when we talk about flirting.

I'll be honest .... guys flirt and I really don't know it. My friend is always pointing things out to me ... after the fact.

Sometimes I genuinely are dumb as it can be hard to tell sometimes if someone is just being friendly or if they are flirting so I guess I kinda play dumb out of habit even when I know they are acgtually flirting. But it does also depend on whether I like them or not or if I do like them, if my friends are around and are going to tease me about it, I might just play dumb, I like to keep it a secret when I like someone also it depends on my situation or how I read the situation. If I am seeing someone or someone else I like is around or my friends are around who are also friends with someone I fancy or if I do like them but don't want them to get the wrong idea, like do they think I will sleep with them just cos I'm flirting etc. etc. depends on a lot of things but yes, sometimes I do play dumb but I do enjoy a bit of flirting.

Girls do it all the time. Even when the flirting is obvious.
I can't say about other guys, but I'd never play dumb intentionally.

I can honestly say this is one of the most annoying things in the world, to me personally at least. If you're genuinely missing an advance, that's totally fine. But when people intentionally act dumb or play hard to get, it drives me insane.

No, I'm legitimately confused and ignorant when guys flirt with me. If they aren't obvious with it, I just think they're being friendly.

What exactly do you mean by "playing dumb"? People flirt all the time - usually it's harmless and not a way to get into someone's pants.

So, people just go with it. Is that what you're talking about?

Unless the person flirting with me is someone I'm interested in, I tend to ignore flirting. I like to communicate on friendly terms without the pointless and often annoying flirting going on.
