If you are musical, there is a good possibility you have other creative skills. Writing, drawing or painting are all enjoyable.

The music industry is a nasty place. When I was little my mum did a sound engineering course and she was the only person in her class to be told she was producer material. She never did anything with her sound engineering degree because just in the course she got a taste of the nastiness of the industry. When I was about 6, while my mum was doing her course, I asked her why their were so few women in music. Her exact words were "Because most women are smarter than that."
