    Knowing what you want ...

Funny how sometimes you can spend so long wondering what it is you want and need ... and when you finally do start to work out what those things are, they seem to be out of your reach, and the opportunities have passed.

    Such is life.

I am largely a pragmatist... but I have to believe that sometimes things happen for a reason.

I am also a pragmatist, but also a pessimist, optomist, and realist.

It just that I seem to mismatch the above with the corresponding situation/time/quandry/anxiety.

I know what I want. I'll have a double cheeseburger, no pickles, no onion. And large fries please.

This reminds me of my request when I'm selecting stuff at Subway :

Hahaha! Please don't even make me think of Subway now. I technically gave up fast food. I've only been once to Maccies and once to Subway this whole year and now for the first time in months I'm having a terrible craving and it feels like the only right thing to eat ever again is a Big Mac. No pickles. No onion. No sauce.

Yes but sometimes knowing what we want, isn't what we need. Unfortunately they don't always go hand in hand.

But, but, but ... then it wouldn't be a Bic Mac.

    It'd be a Big Nothing :o(

I'd forget McDs altogether and go to Burger King for a BK Whopper (with cheese).

It's like when I want a bowl of fries ... when really what I need is a salad.

There's a lot of talk of food in this thread.

For some reason that seems to happen whenever I'm around.

    Yes, thank you.

Well generally when I want something I'll ask myself if I need it too, and what kind of impact it's gonna have on my life.

Like if I go to maccies I'll get fat and explode. So it's chicken for me today

Favourite song of mine. When I was growing up my father would sing the first line only when I asked for things. It wasn't till I was a teenager and heard the complete song. LOL typical father.
