Depends on how quick you want to get done. Stick to anywhere from 12-18 though. 18 is a lot though so go for the happy medium.

please tell me you meant UNITS ... haha ... i would start with 12 units (4 classes) just to get the feel of the workflow ... and then the next semester, you'll know if you want to go for more classes ...

...i'm a girl, and i didn't want to say "thanks girls" cuz that sounds gay "and i didn't want to say "thanks guys" because ..they aren't guys..i dont think. and i didn't want to just say "thanks" because then it would say that my response is too short.

Yeah. DOn't look at numbers. It depends on yiour mentality, whatever else is going on in your life, what you can afford, etc. etc.
First four semesters of college I took 18, 20.5, 21, 21, After that I went to 12, 10, 3, 0
All based on what I was taking and what else was going on in my life and what I could afford (first four semesters were full scholarship, no need for a supplemental job, second four was no parents helping me out, after a change of major, and just too much work and no help from parents, although they DID claim me as a dependant and DID tell uncle sam they were paying for my college in order to get a tax break for THEM)

always register for more than 12 credits. usually anything after 12 is free depending on the type of college that you attend.
