    Just broke up with my gf

    Ugh. I just broke up with my girlfriend. We got along great and never fought. We loved each other's company very much. But we had different long term goals. We are both close to middle age. I had kids, and she didn't. But now she wants some and I don't. We couldn't compromise on that.

    It's really hard to break up with someone when you get along so well.
    I have a long time interest in psychology, specializing in relationship dynamics for 30 years.

    Couldn't agree more. Am in the same boat.
    Some people are drains and some are radiators... Keep clear of the drains and hug the radiators!
