if you're looking for something to watch with someone you're going out with, try something different... like go for the oldies:

    Goodfellas
    On the Waterfront
    Rear Window
    Chinatown
    Godfather

    you'll have fun

    Goodfellas and The GODFATHER??
LMAO. How is that romantic??? More than half the film is made up of gore, violence and machoism. LMAO. (the gore is the reason why I love them so!) But, ahem.

I'm not really good in this genre, sooo...........Walk to Remember?

I'm a sucker for romantic movies and I tried to watch that but I couldn't relate to the characters. The main guy is kinda too out there and the girl lacks substance. I didn't finish the movie. So many people rate it so highly maybe I didn't give it a proper chance or maybe I am weird.

Out of all the Nicolas Spark's movies, I like Dear John the most. It doesn't have a great storyline but the characters seems more real as well as the obstacles they faced. The decision John faced was heartbreaking and one I can truly relate. I could absolutely feel the raw emotions in this movie and it was able to move me despite the story line being bland.

On the opposite side of the spectrum. I also like Serendipity. It's about fate, love, and how the Universe can exist to bring two soul mates together. Yea it's not realistic but it reflects an aspect of love that is passionate and humorous. In a way, the movie touch on our dream in finding that one true love that seemingly impossible to find but this movie represents that hope. Overall, I really enjoy the movie despite it's being more fantasy than reality. But sometimes it's more fun to indulge in a bit of make-beliefs and it gives us that bit of faith in finding love. This movie leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy in the inside and that's what a romantic movie is all about. Not to mention the soundtrack is awesome.

50 first dates. I loved this film so much, that's true love, the guy never left her for any reason even everyday he must reminds her everything again.

And such a WONDERFUL adventure!!!! I actually had never considered the romantic aspect of this movie until my brother had the audacity to call it a chick flick.

Oh and the notebook... made me bawl my eyes out! What a horrible story! All those years of love just to be forgotten? Not my idea of fun.

I doubt many will agree, but my favorite romance film and one of my favorite movies ever is Vanilla Sky. All the friends I've lent it to look at me like I'm crazy after they watch it though.

    Princess bride is very good.
