I am not at all materialistic so I could not care less what car anyone drives. And thankfully my GF doesn't care what I drive. Anyone who is impressed by a piece of metal is obviously extremely shallow.

EVERYTHING 'matters' when it comes down to dating. i mean everything, even the car she drives.
HOWEVER, some things matter so little that they would never alter the outcome / ones feelings / the possibility of dating etc.

like a girls shoes for example. yeh i notice them, yeh it 'matters' but really it matters so little she could be wearing crocs and i'd still wanna date her cos the other things which matter are so much more important. i.e. personality, looks, education, etc

thats my thoughts anyway.

Alright my view may be a little skewed, as I am a car guy. A girls car really doesn't matter, but if you have a nice car it would def score you some points with me. Nothing hotter than a girl driving a nice car. If you do have any type of car I would care more about how you treat it. If it was dirty inside and out I would clean it for you and expect you to try and keep it that way.

I don't know why a guy would care what kind of car his date drives. In virtually every date I ever had, the guy picks me up in his own car, anyway.

I would fix it for her. If it is something I can't fix and if she has no money, I can lend her the money if it's cheap or we can share ride until she saves up the money. Either way I love helping my gf out. It's what being a boyfriend is about.

Well yeah but i think the point of the thread is to initially date a girl who drives a nasty car? Generally, people who drives broken down old pieces of junk dont have much ambition and drive (no pun intended) ..

then again Im in my 30s
