does anyone know what kind of keyboard would be best for someone(me) developing carpal tunnel?
I am using Microsoft ergonomic.

If you're already using an ergonomic keyboard, how about trying an ergonomic mouse?
Evoluent VerticalMouse, Vertical Mouse, ergonomic mouse, ergonomic computer mouse, computer mouse, optical mouse, carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive stress disorder, RSI
OMG! it looks so weird! gotta try that, thank you Fras!

I was getting this really bad. I ended up switching to an MS ergonomic keyboard and a Logitech trackball. It took a few months, but I am actually surprised that the pain has gone away.
logitech trackball, i have to check it out as well

Also, switch to the Dvorak keyboard layout.
If I ever get affected I'll use my graphics tablet instead, its supposed to help and is very easy to get used to.
Actually I should be using it now instead of the mouse, so much more fun...Hmm..
Download (or buy) the program "Workpace"
It'll tell you to stop working at set intervals.
Every 15 minutes it'll tell you to let everything go and let your arms hang down.
And every hour it'll give (virtual) examples of exercises you should do (move wrists, neck, shoulders etc.)
Can someone please explain what is so great about constantly being reminded of that which you cannot have?
It does, that's why I said "buy"
Or you could find a cracked version...It doesn't really need that much updates anyway, so...
I've worked with it and it does help...Makes you realise how short 15 minutes is when you're working on a pc.
You can easily work for waay to long without rest. This program will help you with that...
