I can tell you how my ex felt, because he was a real ass about it. It hurt him and then he was surprised it hurt him, and confused. he felt like I had won some race I never knew I was competing in, finding someone before him. It made him sort of desparate to find someone of his own and appears to have sped him along to getting married ASAP so he can feel he "beat" me.

Me? When I have broken up with a guy and then seen him with a new love, I feel a little doubt. Did I make the right decision? Then I remember all the reasons and either feel happy for them or sorry for the woman, depending.

It has never happened to me but since I did the dumping I don't really expect to be bothered if my ex is with somebody else. In fact I'd be glad if she did find someone that she loved - she was a nice person but it didn't work for us.
